Chalo Bhai

Daily office pick and drop in Karachi, with someone going your way

Pick and drop chahiye? Chalo Bhai will match you with a commuter who already drives your route to work or university, so you share the ride every day and contribute to the petrol.

How a carpool compares with what you use now

Daily ride-hailing

Convenient, but you pay a full fare for a car and driver to come to you, twice a day. Prices rise in rush hour and rain, which is when you need the ride most.

Rickshaws and buses

Cheaper, but a long route often means changing more than once, and you rarely know how long the trip will take.

A monthly van

A pick and drop service in Karachi usually means a fixed monthly contract, a fixed route and a long loop collecting everyone else before you reach work.

A carpool on Chalo Bhai

You ride in a private car with one commuter who is making the trip anyway, along with up to two or three others on the same route. You contribute to the petrol, not to a fare. There is no monthly contract with a company: if your job, timing or address changes, you look for a new match.

What a daily pick and drop by carpool gives you

  • A cost you know in advance

You agree a fuel share with your driver, usually for the week or month. No surge pricing at 8:45am and no bargaining at the stop.

  • Same people, same time, every day

A carpool is a standing arrangement. You know who is coming, what time, and where you will be picked up.

  • Picked up near home, dropped on the way

You are matched with drivers whose route passes close to your pickup point and continues past your office or campus.

  • You decide who you ride with

See a driver's profile and verifications first. Your number is shared only when you both accept the match.

For offices and universities

Chalo Bhai is for any regular commute inside Karachi. Office staff can be matched with colleagues and neighbours heading to the same business district. Students looking for a university pick and drop can be matched with other students, faculty or staff who drive to the same campus.

Your fuel share depends on your distance and how many people are in the car. To get a figure for your own route, use the petrol cost calculator, or look at the estimates on our Karachi carpool routes.

Women who prefer to ride only with other women can ask for women-only matching. See women's carpooling for how that will work.

Questions riders ask

Is this a taxi or ride-hailing service?

No. Chalo Bhai is not a taxi, a ride-hailing app or a van service. It connects commuters who already travel the same route so they can share the petrol cost of a trip the driver is making anyway. Drivers are not earning a fare and nobody is being dispatched to pick you up on demand. Agar aap ko daily pick and drop chahiye, this is a carpool with someone going your way, not a hired car.

How do drivers and riders split the cost?

Riders contribute to the fuel for the shared part of the route. The driver and riders agree the amount between themselves before they start, usually as a weekly or monthly contribution. The idea is to share petrol ka kharcha, not to make a profit. Our petrol cost calculator gives both sides a fair starting number for their route.

Is it safe?

No app can promise that, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we are building is a set of tools that help you decide who to ride with: a WhatsApp-verified phone number on every profile, an optional work or university email badge, contact details shared only after both people accept a match, ratings between carpool partners, and a women-only matching option. You always choose whether to accept a match, and we suggest meeting in a public place before your first ride.

Do I need to drive or ride every day?

No. You choose the days. A driver might offer seats Monday to Thursday only, and a rider might need a seat three days a week. Matching takes your days into account, so you are only paired with people whose schedule overlaps with yours.
