Who we are

Chalo Bhai is a carpool app for Karachi commuters that is currently in development. This website exists to explain the idea and to collect a waitlist. It is run by its founder, an individual developer based in Karachi. You can reach us at support@chalbhai.co.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect what you enter in the form:

• Your name
• Your WhatsApp number
• Whether you drive, need a ride, or both
• Your home area and your work or university area
• The time you usually leave home, if you choose to give it
• Whether you are interested in women-only matching, if you tick that box
• Your consent to be contacted on WhatsApp

We also record the date and time you signed up and the page of this website you signed up from. We do not ask for your CNIC, your exact address, your gender or any payment details.

Where it is stored

Waitlist entries are stored in a private database provided by Neon through Vercel, the company that hosts this website. The database is not publicly accessible and can be read only by the founder. Vercel and Neon therefore process this data on our behalf, under their own terms and privacy policies. The founder may download the list as a spreadsheet to plan early access.

How we use it

• To contact you on WhatsApp about early access to Chalo Bhai
• To decide which Karachi routes to open first, based on where people have signed up
• To understand overall demand, for example how many drivers and riders there are on a route

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with advertisers or other companies. Joining the waitlist does not share your number with other people on the waitlist.

Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages are read and where people leave the form. These tools set cookies and collect usage data including pages viewed, approximate location, device type and how you interact with a page. They are operated by Google and Microsoft under their own privacy policies. You can block them with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker and the website will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries while Chalo Bhai is in development and during its early access period. If the project is discontinued, the waitlist will be deleted.

Deleting or correcting your details

You can ask us to delete or correct your waitlist entry at any time. Email support@chalbhai.co from any address and include the WhatsApp number you signed up with, so we can find your entry. We will remove it and confirm.

Changes to this policy

When the app launches it will collect more than this website does, and it will have its own privacy policy. If this page changes before then, the date at the top will change with it.
